Twas The Night Before Christmas-WAG
-Lydia and Grace-
Earlier in the fall Lydia auditioned for 'Twas the Night Before Christmas' with Wylie Acting Group for Children. She got the part of 'Holly' and was super excited to be a part of another play. It takes a lot of work with memorizing lines and going to all the rehearsals. By the time the performance day comes around Lydia is ready for it to be done. However once she starts performing she wishes they had more than three shows. She LOVES it!
I don't mean to brag but she does an awesome job and we are so proud of her hard work and the courage that it takes to get up in front of people.
The kids along with Dad got to come and see opening night! -as usual Cooper is either not looking at the camera or is making a scowl. :)
Lydia's second grade teacher-Miss Burns (Lydia loves her so much.) and the two directors, Miss Nancy and Miss Melanie.

Santa!
The boys got to go to a birthday party where Santa made a surprise visit. They were all speechless once it was their turn and couldn't think of a thing they wanted for Christmas. After Santa left, Kyler was determined that it wasn't the "real" Santa and even pointed out who it was that was dressed up. I asked Kyler, "How do you know it wasn't the real Santa?" His reply was, "Santa has black boots and that Santa had on brown shoes." So there you have it, you cannot fool a very observant six year old.

Thanksgiving Fun
Beginning in November our schedules have been crazy. Lydia has been very busy with her play rehearsals of 'Twas the Night Before Christmas.' Both Kyler and Lydia had their Thanksgiving feast at school. While Cooper was at preschool, Lincoln and I went to eat with them. It's always a fun time.
Cooper had his Thanksgiving music program at school. HE SANG EVERY SONG! It was so cute and Lydia and Kyler were so proud of him. We got to go get some ice cream afterwards with our carpool buddies.
These are Cooper's carpool buddies-Spencer and Payton. Lincoln must of thought he needed to be in the picture since he is in the car when it's our turn to drive. :)
We made these cookies for Cooper to take to his Thanksgiving feast at preschool. I actually make them with orange tic-tacs. They are so easy to make and the kids love making them.
The kids helped make Thanksgiving decorations for Uncle Todd's November package. Here is Cooper putting the finishing touches on his Indian.
Lydia made the pilgrim man, Cooper the red Indian and Kyler made the green Indian.

Happy Halloween 2011
Cooper's Halloween parade at preschool.
Trunk-or-treat at the church.
Carving pumpkins, we had lots of fun collecting the seeds. We didn't end up getting to eat them because I burned them. :(

Lincoln got a bug bite after trick-or-treating, right above his eyebrow. This is what he looked like the next morning. It took lots of benadryl and two days before the swelling went down.
