Damone and I have been happily married since January 2002 in the LDS Salt Lake City Temple, where we were sealed for time and all eternity. Our most treasured and sacred moments have been shared with our beautiful children- Lydia, Kyler, Cooper, Maloree, and Lincoln. They are our greatest blessings and truly make life worth living.

Chick-Fil-A Cow Day

July 9th is official cow day at Chick fil A, if you dress up as a cow from head to toe, you get a complete meal for free. We had so much fun cutting out our spots and making our ears and gluing cotton to make a tail. Even Lydia's neighbor friend wanted in on the action. Who can pass up free food? The kids have decided that this is something we have to do every year.

Horray for Sprinkles and Friends

We had our friends over yesterday. Laynee, Seth and Samuel and their mom came to play and decorate cookies with us. The kids had a blast as you can tell from all the pictures. They all were really enjoying the frosting (licking knives, dipping fingers, squeezing the tube straight into their mouth-I saw you Seth) I got a picture of Kyler just as he pulled a knife full of frosting out of his mouth. Needless to say they did get frosting on their cookies and the sprinkles. I never knew you could get than many sprinkles on one cookie but apparently they did. Great job you guys, they turned out great!

Thanks for coming we'll have to do it again, we had so much fun!

Kyler is 3 years old!

Last week was Kyler's birthday also the week of hurricane Ike. We were privileged to have my old high school friend Joe Fitzgerald and his wife Ana along with their son Nicholas stay with us. They evacuated from their home near Houston and stayed a few nights with us. It was fun to catch up on how their family is doing and reminisce the high school days. Thanks you guys.
Kyler really enjoyed helping me make his cake. He wanted a horse cake which he later named Spirit and told me that he wanted to eat his head.

We were going to celebrate Kyler's birthday by taking the family to the rodeo (Kyler is obsessed with horses in case you didn't know). Great Grandpa Shumard calls him his little Texas Ranger so he definitely fits the title. However the rodeo was postponed due to the hurricane. So instead we took the family to Chuckie Cheese. We had a lot of fun and the kids really enjoyed it.

Kyler opened his presents when we got home and he got so many great things. Dart guns, barns, horses of course, the movie spirit which he would watch 24/7 if I would let him, a pirate cove playset and a cars racing track. He has a blast playing with his new toys with Lydia and Cooper.

Of course we ended the night eating "Spirit" and yes Kyler got the head.

Happy Birthday Buddy.
