Damone and I have been happily married since January 2002 in the LDS Salt Lake City Temple, where we were sealed for time and all eternity. Our most treasured and sacred moments have been shared with our beautiful children- Lydia, Kyler, Cooper, Maloree, and Lincoln. They are our greatest blessings and truly make life worth living.

Josh Groban-Dallas Concert 2011

Damone got me tickets for Mother's Day to see Josh Groban in concert (okay so I  bought the tickets and told him they would be my Mother's Day gift) :) Anyways who cares how they were bought, the show was awesome. We had floor seats and were pretty close to the stage. However we were really surprised to see a mini second stage setup just behind us that was even closer to. Josh came up and down the isle several  times right by us. The audience before the show could text a question to Josh and he would answer some during the show. One girl in the audience texted Josh to sing a duet with him- and he did, she sat two rows directly in front of us. It was so neat to see her reaction as Josh came down from the stage to get her.

He does not disappoint, the musicians he brings on tour-amazing, his voice-amazing, his humor-hilarious. So much fun.

Josh's opening number (on the mini stage right by us). You can hear a few people on the video saying "It's Josh Groban" that's because the couple sitting behind us came after the opening act just before Josh took stage and when the husband went to go get refreshments the girl leaned over to us saying her husband had brought her there as a surprise for their anniversary but hadn't told her who was playing. So here we were sitting with all the lights out anticipating what direction Josh was going to come from and she had no idea who everyone was so excited to see.

Elew- Josh's opening act. It was amazing the things he could do on the piano and standing up the whole time.

Creepy Visitor for Mother's Day

When we were backing out of our driveway to leave for church on Mothers Day, Damone spotted this craw fish on our sidewalk. How this thing got there I have no idea and the fact that he was still alive. Damone and the boys had to check it out. Then Damone started explaining how this is what he likes to eat when traveling to Louisiana. Well this opened up a whole new situation with Kyler who actually thought we were going to eat him when we got home from church. Yuck! is what I say. Well after we got home from church the kids immediately got out of the van to find it. It was no where to be seen until we realized the little guy had crossed the street and was in our neighbors driveway. We had to get pictures. He was pretty much lifeless at this point being in the heat and all. Later, Damone put him in a bucket with water because the boys had to keep checking on him. They were obsessed I tell you

Here's what the kids were thinking during the pictures

Kyler: This is awesome!
Cooper: Dad are we really going to eat this?
Lydia: You want me to smile but I'm going to keep my eye on this thing.

Kyler: Dad and I are going to cook this up.
Cooper: "Crab!!"
Lydia: Hurry and take the picture so I can get away!

Kyler: Oh yeah baby, we are eating good tonight.
Cooper: I'm not sure I want to eat that.
Lydia: Seriously are we done yet?
